After months of planning, designing, and refining, we’re thrilled to unveil the brand-new High Monkey website! This redesign wasn’t just about a fresh coat of paint - it was about creating a site that truly reflects who we are, what we do, and how we help organizations build smarter digital solutions.

So, why did we redesign our website? What did the process look like? And what can you expect from the new site? Let’s dive in.
Why we redesigned our website

If you’ve worked with High Monkey before, you know we’re all about strategy, usability, and smart digital solutions. But for a while, our own website wasn’t living up to those same standards.

Here were our main issues with the old site:

Our messaging wasn’t clear enough – Our old site had a bit too much marketing fluff and not enough straightforward communication about what we do. We cut out the jargon and made sure every page clearly explains how we help organizations.

Services weren’t well-defined We do a lot, but our old site didn’t do a great job of showcasing the full scope of our expertise. Now, our services are clearly structured and explained—so whether you need a full digital experience strategy, CMS migration, accessibility improvements, search optimization, or all of the above, you’ll know exactly how we can help.

Outdated look – The old design leaned a bit too cartoonish, with pastel-heavy colors that didn’t reflect the level of professionalism we bring to our work. We’ve reworked our entire color palette, layout, and visuals to create a look that’s bold, modern, and professional - without losing personality.

We wanted more people to reach out! – At the end of the day, we want to help organizations solve digital challenges, and that starts with a conversation. We realized our old site didn’t encourage engagement enough, so we made it way easier to contact us (if you can tell by the multiple contact form links all around the website). Don’t be shy people, we don’t bite!

Our redesign process

At High Monkey, we believe that strategy comes first—before visuals, before tech decisions, before anything else. Our website redesign followed that same philosophy.

1. Defining the right structure

We started by mapping out our Information Architecture (IA) to make sure the right content lived in the right places. Every page had to serve a purpose, and navigation had to feel seamless.

This involved:
- Streamlining our main navigation to focus on expertise and industries.
- Creating a clear, engaging Why High Monkey? page to explain exactly why clients trust us.
- Refining our service pages to clearly explain what we do.
- Organizing case studies to showcase our work in a digestible, engaging format.

2. Coming up with clearer messaging

We took a hard look at our content. The goal? No more marketing jargon.

We wanted our new site to sound like us - direct, knowledgeable, and approachable. So, we rewrote nearly everything, making sure our voice reflected the clarity, expertise, and strategic mindset we bring to client projects.

3. Choosing the right tools

A good website isn’t just about how it looks, it’s about how well it functions. We evaluated multiple platforms before landing on TeleportHQ as the right tool for our new site. Why TeleportHQ? Mainly for it's flexibility. It gave us the control we needed while keeping everything lean and efficient.

4. Designing with intent

Rather than leaning into flashy visuals for the sake of looking “cool,” we focused on usability, readability, and accessibility. Our new design keeps things clean, structured, and easy to navigate—without losing the energy and personality that make High Monkey unique.

5. Testing and refining

Once the foundation was built, we put the site through rigorous performance testing, accessibility checks, and user testing to make sure everything worked as expected. A website should just work - no unnecessary friction, no guesswork.

How long did this take us?

It took us several months to complete our website project, almost 5 months in total. While the strategy and structure were set early, we took the time to fine-tune content, design, and functionality to ensure the final result met our standards. It wasn’t just about launching a site - it was about launching it right.

What's next?

Just as we mentioned in one of our latest Discussing Stupid podcast episodesthe work has only just started once you launch! You know what that means...

We will be continuously refining, updating, and adding new insights to our new digital home.

Here’s what you can expect:
- Regular blog content on digital strategy, UX, and more.
- New case studies showcasing the results we drive for clients.
- Ongoing enhancements to keep improving navigation, content, and performance.
- Updates on the Discussing Stupid podcast, where we without a doubt spend the most efforts on our marketing!

We’re proud of what we’ve built—but more importantly, we hope it makes it easier for you to see how we can help.

Take a look around

The new site is live, and we’d love for you to explore! Check it out, and let us know what you think. If you have any feedback or run into anything unexpected, don't hesitate to reach out. We are always looking to improve.

Thanks for being part of this journey with us. Here’s to websites that don't suck!
