Project Scope

Scope
Community Colleges of Spokane needed to completely re-design and re-build the CCS website. In fact, the new CCS website would share content among three core websites for CSS, SCC, and SFCC to simplify the user experience and allow users to find necessary resources and information in one location. 

Our Approach

Website Design & Build
High Monkey provided a website design and build approach that included extensive content modeling, and the implementation of Funnelback Search as a content aggregation engine utilizing one central repository for content. Our work included the building of custom web-parts that search for content and link it to the Kentico CMS platform for display.  We also created navigation elements, page templates, HTML, CSS, and content web parts based on wireframes for CCS, SCC, and SFCC websites as well as templates for use with other CSS sub-sites.


Search Engine Implementation - Scope
CSS needed a search engine that could provide results for the CSS, SCC, and SFCC websites and share common content among all three websites.

Our Approach

Search Strategy
High Monkey implemented Funnelback as a powerful search tool that delivers user-centric search results.  Funnelback was also used by High Monkey to perform as a ‘Content Hub’ (central content repository) that aggregates content and delivers it via Kentico content web parts to one or more of the three CCS websites depending on the type of content and user needs. Funnelback was used by High Monkey during the project duration for Accessibility Compliance and Content Auditing and continues to be used by CCS for those purposes.
